Mrs Flub has a 5 door Cooper. You can just see it peeking round the corner in the background. Colour wise it's probably closer to the ceasium blue.

I did smile when i saw your yellow one

Great little car. I use it for nipping around town and fun journeys with roof down. It's a cooper S and has a nice little poppy exhaust and sound in sport mode. No sat nav or digital display.

Great car to drive once you are in it! I do feel like a contortionist getting in. Once im in its fine with lits of room. Might change it for a cabrio next year. Does the Cooper s feel a lot nippier than the Cooper? Haven't driven one.

I'm only 5ft 8 so its fine for me. The cooper S is much livelier. I imagine with sport mode off mines is like a a cooper but press the button and its much more responsive and the older ones make a nice noise with bits of overrun etc. Its 167BHP so not bad for a little car. Plenty of torque steer on acceleration and having the cabriolet is nice as I feel its quite a closed off small car so having the option to roof down is great for the summer.

Thanks Badger,

Sounds like a trip to the mini dealer is in order.........

My wife informs me that her next mini will be the dark grey colour. not blue!

My wife drives a mini cooper as well!!

Have we happened upon some bizarre axiom of life that dictates a high probability of an F-Pace drivers' partner driving a mini???

Hey Flub .. that looks like a lovely corner of the world you've found to escape to ... how far past Paddington do you have to go every evening?
Didcot and back every day, Live in a little village about 20 mins drive further west from Didcot near the white horse at Uffington.

Sounds like you might be right. perhaps we should have a "whats your partner drive thread"

That's wierd, Mrs Max drives a Mini Cooper 5 door as well.
It could be going soon as it is a bit low, especially compared to the F Pace. She fancies Citroen C3, still, there is no accounting for taste!! It's her decision .

I suspect that may be a first for the forum. Expressing a preference for a Citroen!

Mrs Flub tells me that she still 'needs' a mini cabrio for next year! Will probably need the roof down to get in! Question is, do we upgrade to the S version?

It is 'a bizarre axiom of life', my wife too drives a Mini. Bought as a Christmas present in 2002 it now has 22000 miles on it. She refuses to part with it.

She doesn't like my F-Pace since she has slipped off the deployable steps twice (drawing blood once  ) and wants me to go back to an XF.

Art .
