Noticed yesterday update available on my weekly drive to the supermarket.
It downloaded before I completed the 3 mile trip.
Checked this morning and update showing applied on startup. S20A_20.16.5-536345
New splash screen! In theses uncertain times.
Haven't driven so not sure if any changes or it's just improvement.

Mine has now updated. I was only in the car for 10 mins or so dropping food off to my parents so didn't play with anything but I still get an SVR screen then into this new one. It is a nice touch but think I'd rather it be removed after a little while.

Hi,
Got mine updated as well, uncertain times is an additional splash screen.
There is now Reset all settings option available:)
And I think parking aid box when it pops up has additional touch buttons if I am correct or I am hallucinating :D

Thanks

KJ

Mine's now updating although I did check for updates 5 times before it picked it up, I thought one was coming as my SDD had an NGI update and the US forums were asking if anyone had had it. It was really small though at 26Mb

Mine was updated during annual service. The only obvious difference I can see is that the front parking sensor now is on as default rather than off.

Hello all.
Can anyone advise if there is anyway to force through an update? I have version 19C yet after several atempts to check for an update it always states no update available?

I was on 19B so last week emailed the dealer to say there was an update and could they check SOTA was turned on in Topix. They replied and said it was now on, I checked the car and low and behold I had an update...........to 19C

So I keep checking for 20A but get the same message, software is up to date.

Since the update to 19C I've also noticed in the top left hand corner of the display rather than the phone signal strength icon is a picture of an arrow facing down, I assume this means there is software to download, but as I say the system says it's up to date :?

That down facing arrow is a download icon for sure.
Have you tried changing internet connection.
What I mean is if you have a sim card in car and if you are using that for checking and downloading so switch it off connect to home wifi if possible or make your phone as a hotspot tether and connect your car to that.
Might make a difference just a thought.

Thanks.

Thanks @jalees I'll give it a try and see, another thing I noticed is when it updated the Install date didn't change on the "software update" screen only the version number.

Ok I would say to all who are on 19C better dont try to update.
Reason i am on version 20....and since yesterday I am seeing these data finished warning pop up on screen at first I thought it's my 3uk sim card out of data.
Anyhow I put back ubigi sim card came with car and same warning message.
I checked my 3uk data sim in handset it works fine so definitely I am not out of data.
I tried connecting ICTP to my mobile using tether and turned off cars sim data but again I am seeing same data warning message.
On e pace forum guys are experiencing the same issue.
I tried using online media / weather update nothing same data warning message so practically ICTP looks like broken and I have a doubt this behaviour means we who are experiencing this data warning and system is unable to connect online either by sim or using wifi means a visit to dealer.
Something must have been triggered in software itself which just doesn't want to go online and showing data warning instead.
I'll try one more time as now there is a reset button introduced and see what happens.

Anyone else who can give some insight those who are on updated software and experiencing same would be great to know.

Thanks

I've been getting the same message from yesterday and I'm running 19C. Looking on other JLR model forums we are not alone it's happening on all models, systems and countries. From what I've worked out it is a problem connected to the Live apps. Hopefully it's an easy fix at JLRs end when they get back after the weekend.

I nearly bought a new data sim yesterday I'm glad I didn't.

Let's hope for the best.
After performing factory reset navigation / live not getting logged in not even on wifi.
Weather is gone somewhere probably due to Live not logged in.
Any way I am glad I have android auto so I am good for now.

Thanks.

Hi,

One more observation that extra splash screen which showed in these uncertain times has vanished for me.
Not sure if it is to do with that factory reset I performed earlier today or maybe it was meant to be gone at some point by itself.

Thanks.

Seems strange it's taken nearly 3 weeks since I updated.
Yesterday I had the same message no data so I ordered new sim due today.
mine was 20 months old so I thought the sim was due to expire now.
Looking like I am a little prior!
I'll check online before swapping to new.
Thanks for the update.

Since Saturday i have been getting the same message advising i have used all my monthly data. When looking at the settings i have used 108MB of 1GB. On the Ubigi app i get the same. Strange that the software update was a few weeks ago but the issue has appeared now. My monthly renew date is 25th, so there is definitely an issue.

I connected mine to my WiFi to download but within a couple of days mine had run out of Data I haven't topped it up for over a year usually could of only used 1 - 2k as I only had 200Mb available now all of a sudden it runs out. People in the USA are also experiencing no connection to sync nav, I can't log on and I'm getting theres a problem at our end message. That's probably what used all the data come to think of continuously trying to log on as mine is set to stay logged in.

I updated today to 20A all went smoothly, I had to get the dealer to push it to the car though despite SOTA turned on in Topix.

Hi lozpace

Can you shead some light on the dealer pushing the update? Not heard of this. What do need to do?
Thanks Al

Al, ring or email the dealer and tell them you believe there is a new software version 20A available for your car but when you access software update it says software is up to date. Ask if they could go onto Topix for your car and check that SOTA is switched on and also if they could push the update to your vehicle.

Tell them you would like to try the update because it might fix the Bluetooth issues you are having with you phone ;)

This is the screen the dealer should see, they need to click the update button
