Ingenium diesel high mileages wanted..

I am thinking of buying an F-Pace. I am looking at some 2016/2017 diesels. The V6 seems to be the most agile,
but the taxing in the Netherlands and the infame of the TdV6 from its Land Rover Discovery ancestors does
not appeal to me.

Now I've read about 'oil-dilution' problems om the Discovery Sport forum. And now I wonder who has any idea
about what to expect for a lifetime for the Ingenium diesel engines..

If its 89k miles as predicted on the DS forum [ based on silicon parts encountered in the oil] , it means death
around 150.000km, which is rediculously low for any diessel... :shock:

Please advise.. :p

I would have thought a V6 DS should have a life of 200,000 miles ?

@DPE.
There are no V6 DS.. ..only 4-cilinder.. The RRS have V6/V8.. But the Discovery Sport only comes with Ingenium diesel or petrol engines.
I found some XE's which did 150k + , so it will be OK I guess.

Having just moved from a DS Diesel, I'm very happy to be back on a petrol engine!

4 cylinder Ingenium's were not a nice place to live.
So fed up with DPF full or Oil / Servicing not living up to expectations
