My car is in today for an update it is currently on 18B, it will be interesting to see what version is installed. I've asked for Apple Car Play to be activated as well I'm expecting a call asking me to pay for it 😖
The dealer was unable to update my car as JLR have stopped all updates so the information provided above is correct. They are waiting for 19A but don't know a time scale of when it will be available.
I was due to take my car in on monday for update from 18c to 18d because of volume and usb problems.
Just had a call from Jaguar they have stopped updating all cars because of problems and are waiting a phase 5.
Glad I didn't bother with that one then. Car is in for first service towards end of April so I will get it updated to whatever version is being offered then.
My Dealer has has told me the updates will recommence end of March beginning of April and has booked me in for the update(and some other issues) with CarPlay added for free.

I wish I'd stuck with 18C..... 18D has fixed nothing and has made the performance of pretty much everything worse... For those that had 18C to 18D cancelled, you were all very lucky!
The nav looks different with the traffic coloured on the road you're driving on both directions, even without a route programmed..
Is this the latest Nav update or 18D, anyone know?
Just had a call from Farnells the latest update is being rolled out throughout the UK on the 20th March. I have booked mine in for the 25th let them test it on other cars for 5 days first.

Oh great - I pick my new F-Pace up on 21st March and really worried it's coming with 18D pre-installed... Too late to be updated to this new release...

I doubt it would be 18D, or even 18C. I had a 2 week old Discovery that had 3.5 Helmet edition - they won't use later releases until they are confident they work in most option configurations...

I have a MY19 model with just 2 USB's under the centre console. I've been told by my dealer that if it only has 2 USB's then it is not physically capable of using android auto/carplay if updated. Has anybody else experienced this.? Surely it's a software requirement only as the interface is connected to the USB... Kind of like installing a 'driver' for aa/carplay?

What country are you in? Some markets haven't been given the correct hardware for ACP and AA. Scroll back a bit in this thread and the details have been explained.
Unfortunately cars with ICT Pro but without SIM connectivity and an HDMI port are not capable of being upgraded to accept Carplay. Its a shame and according to my dealer Jaguar have no plans to find a work around!
My car was built for the Croatian market. Well that's a bummer!! Would have thought it was simply like adding a driver for aa/acp as the usb is connected to the system!
I found the last sentence interesting: REAR VIEW CAMERA JUDDER
The camera image is not displaying as smoothly as it should be, this is currently under investigation and should be fixed in the next full software release.
does this indicate that Phase 5 is round the corner?

Is cd ripping/usb downloading onto hard drive possible on all InControl touch pros? The option doesn't appear for me and am wondering whether this is a software limitation as I have 18B. I thought all ICTP had the 10gb hard drive!!??
My MY18 with the old 2 part seat 'Vs 2.5' system was in yesterday to get upgraded. Said they could only patch it to '4.5' (their words). They said they were waiting for Version 5 'soon'. Anyway, what's been installed seems to be 19A as far as I can see.
It's undoubtedly slicker and quicker, and hasn't locked up on me so far, lots of other little changes, new UI, AA and ACP, etc.
BUT... it's broken voice control completely and there's no voice guidance from NAV. I can live without the latter, but the loss of voice control is really not good. I've tried the suggestions earlier in the thread (update maps/language pack, use voice on Android Auto) but no luck.
I'll be calling them tomorrow morning to get on the list...
I can get AA to connect and show on the car screen, but the screen won't respond to touch input, which makes it unusable. The steering wheel 'talk' button works though and I can get the Google Assistant up on the car screen.
TBH, I've been a bit underwhelmed by AA overall, thought it would do more than it does, but that's just my perception (which may be wrong anyway)
Still awaiting today's promised callback from the service dept, now 1630 so that's another black mark...
Jim
