I've just checked with Jaguar Stockport (part of Sytner group) and they say the update has been pulled from the dealership with no date as of yet as to when it is being sent back :-(
I've seen a couple of dealerships saying it's pulled on various forums but there is nothing on Jaguars site about a stop on the roll out.
I asked my dealer and he said there is no stop on the roll out, it may just be that your dealer has not yet updated "his in house software " so that they are able to roll it out.
Ask him why other dealers are continuing with no issues 😀
Could all that got sucessfully ACP/CP installed let us know If they also have WiFi in their cars? Seems to me that only cars with WiFi can have the Smartphone package enabled!
I thought the idea of the new ICT was that the owner was able to do software updates without a trip to the dealer, that's the way it was sold to me and the impression you get from the Jaguar web site. I'm on 18B and when I run the check for updates it says there are no updates for the ICT and for car software it just sits with the rolling squares of death till I get bored with it.

I got 18c ( required for car play) , was told over the air will come out soon.... but car play /Android took priority, it's just a matter of time I suppose.
Guess they are working on it

According to Jaguar in order to activate the Smartphone pack the vehicle must have the Wifi module "factory installed". The update will not be installed using WiFi or the wifi will be used for ACP/AA usage. It is a requirement to be an eligible car.
That makes no sense for me . From my knowledge there is no relation between ACP/AA with the WiFi module. Second, ACP/AA should works with or without USB cable, as BMW and some other does. But I am aware that on JLR models USB cable is mandatory

Some cars not just JLR need the usb, it's all dependant on whether blue tooth element is enabled by the car manufacturer.
No mention of Wi-fi needed in link below , but the dealer should know the requirements or , if you can't get an answer I suggest you just email CRC and see if they can explain why .

Yep but a lot of info in that article is incorrect, e.g voice for navigation was available since verosion 3 . My car came with the default 2.5 from the factory which didn't have voice for navigation a simple update and it was there on 3 ( 17c), long before phase 4 or 18B or 18C.
The best thing to do if you have ICTP (not ICT) is contact customer services and ask them to clarify the requirements for you . There may well be a reason we are not aware of.
It very much also depends on your location/region too as to what is offered, when I bought ICTP it came with Apps, Wi-fi. Maybe in your location it didn't.?

Yes, exactly what I did yesterday. But to be frankly sometimes I have the impression that I am bringing information to them and not the other way round. Last week I did a subscription in Topix to get some information and also trying to find some information here to be able to talk with them in a more precise terms and data.

Hi
I had a search round and found this thread that may confirm that currently if you don't have the SIM slot , you can't have C.P./AA. Then someone says they have no SIM and got it installed !

Thanks a lot! That info will be very usefull for me... I can discuss with my dealer about those pictures showing the ACP working on a vehicle without Wifi (telematics modules, best saying).
I am in Australia and have a 2017 F Pace
I was told today that my head unit was too old for Car play despite having the 18c update.
I don't have sim/wifi.
I ask it to play an artist
Car Play - it just starts playing said artis with no choice of what album .
In control - it nicely list my albums and ask which one
I give it an album name
Car play searches for ages unless you give it album then artis in that order
In control - searches quicker , gives choice play all or let's you choose track
Car play you have to give it album then artist
In control you give it artist then album
Artwork
Car play - a big blur behind the track playing
ICTP - good quality album art
Phone calls
Same on both
Texts
Same on both
Initiating voice
Short press of voice button communicates with ICTP
Long press of button communicates with Siri and car play.
"Hey Siri " has worked long before this update if your phone is near enough to listen to you
When you use the long press for Car Play Siri , you have to be quick , wait a couple of seconds and it's gone.
When you use short press for ICTP , the voice waits for you to respond longer and then asks again if it hasn't heard anything.
Glad I didn't have to pay £200 for it , that's all I can say .
ICTP system is far better for voice recognition on music and Navigation. Please keep it going JLR as in my opinion is Car Play sucks and is lacking in refinement.
I did notice after update to 18c , you have to be patient with the ICTP voice , I've gotten used to this on previous updates , it takes time to get used to or " learn" as JLR call it your voice.
For those thinking the system is quicker , it's not really , it still takes time to boot up and load your music etc , same with car play . The dealer said it '"appears" quicker , but underneath the quicker appearing graphics the same system is firing up in the background.
Give it patience on starting and all music appears just fine, try and rush it and you get albums with only 3 tracks on Car Play, in that case close car play reconnect and wait a bit.

It is hard to believe that there is any difference between the hardware installed in your car than any other F-Pace. Keep the faith... JLR should be fixing things to release a new software version that covers previous models.

This is something that I am refusing to believe... my F-PAce is a 2018 model with no telematics module. From my point of view there is no relation between Apple Carplay and that module. It is supposed to work with or without Wifi... makes no sense !
Just got a call from the dealer that they can not install AC because i have no Wifi option. Thanks to this forum i already knew this but they were not aware. For once i wished i listened to my wife and choose for another BMW instead.
I have 18C which was recently installed. AA and ACP are installed. I can only get ACP to work with cable attached. Should it work over Bluetooth and automatically connect when my iPhone 6s entrees the car? Thanks in advance. I'm going back to the dealer tomorrow as my squealing brakes have started again after 2 days!!

You MUST plug your phone is fo for this to work these cars do not have wireless CarPlay over Bluetooth
For the Android Auto make sure you have Mirroring turned on is on the settings of your phone.
