Windscreen washers

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the windscreen washers? On my car the spray is directed towards the very bottom of the windscreen, at the level of the parked wipers. I can see no way of adjusting the angle at which the fluid is sprayed to make it hit the screen higher up. Anyone with the same problem, anyone with a solution?

I had my car in yesterday for some updates that are on topix.
While it was in i mentioned about washer jet hitting blades and not screen, he said it was meant to be like that, but when i mentioned about an updated version of jets he said they would look into it.
I picked car uo this morning and have got six jets hitting middle of screen perfect.
When i asked about them he said they were not being fitted unless customers asked, and it wont go on topix.
I also had front brake pads replaced because they occasionaly squeal, same thing unless customer complains they wont fit upgraded pads

Presumably the new jets are standard fit on new vehicles? Can anyone that's had a recent delivery confirm? Certainly sounds like a big improvement.

While the jets and front pads were being changed they gave me a loan f pace 8 weeks old 25d, the washer jets on that were hitting the blades, some must be coming with old jets fitted

Thanks all. Wait and see I guess. I don't have anything more firm than end of March at the moment so only 4 weeks and counting to go!

Hi, mine goes in on Tuesday. The service technician had not heard of the TSB for this. Does anyone have the number I can give him please?

Actually just booked my car in for windscreen washer upgrade/repair.
Also acrid smell when engine gets hot reminds me of EP 90 gear oil.
Also was informed there is a recall on petrol engines due to a petrol leakage but I never received any email or letters from jaguar informing me of this but at least on my dealerships list
So all being done at the same time
Fingers crossed all will be well.

Yeah, mine was in on Thursday for this campaign too. Create yourself a Topix login, and you can look up your specific car with it's VIN and you'll get any outstanding campaigns that are relevant to your car!

Finally got the upgraded jets fitted after asking three times from dealership Parks of Ayr. They even replaced so-called leaking jets with original installed at my second visit. The new jets are triple jet eyeball adjustable cost around £5 ea (P/no. T4A1150 - Water Jet - Heated.)
These ones now hit the windscreen and not wash the engine compartment so I will recommend all owners to hassle your dealerships for these jets. It's a Jaguar upgrade but only if the owner asks. !!!!

Glad to see you finally got them sorted, I hope I helped in some small way.!

Thanks for doing all the hard work for me, I spent a frustrating 30mins yesterday evening trying to adjust jets to no avail, you have to be Harry Houdini to boot!

Decided to look up on the forum this morning and hey presto a solution. Thanks

A tip if trying to adjust the updated windscreen wash triple jets.

If you have been lucky to get your dealership to replace them with the triple windscreen wash jets (P/no. T4A1150 - Water Jet - Heated.)
Jaguar Windscreen Washer Performance Improvement as per Topix JTB00584.
I think the newer builds have these new jets (2 x 3) then read on.

After spending 1 hour trying to use the old pin method to align the eyeball jet you have to open and close the bonnet for every adjustment as the wipers will not operate if it detects the bonnet is open.
To overcome this push two screwdrivers flat ways into the two latch mechanisms as there is a sensor on each. This allows you to test the wipers and jet water with the bonnet open. The wipers if still on the screen will miss the bonnet so enable to test the adjusted jet. Do one of the 6 jets at a time as it's a frustrating adjustment.
To reset just pull the bonnet open lever and the screwdrivers will be ejected.
